Tatting project gone bad
Well, I started on a tatted heart. I've made it before, but I think I gave it away before I got pictures of it. It was going SOOOO well......until both of my threads broke! Not just the one coming off the ball, but also off the shuttle! Arghh! I could work with the one coming off the shuttle, but I can't work around the broken ball thread. I'm really frustrated! Maybe I can use it somehow with just half of it. It might be kind of cute if I do it right, hmmm, I'll have to think about that some more.

Adding in new thread, even when it's both threads, doesn't have to be a heart breaker. I have a tutorial on how I add thread in on my blog:

If that link doesn't work you can just go to my blog and it's in the sidebar on the right. Just click on "Adding Thread". You may have to retro tat a bit to get to a good spot for adding in the thread, but it's better than discarding all that work.
Oh, this happens to the best of us, dear tatting comrade! Sharon's right, it doesn't have to be a heartbreaker. Wish I was there to show you in person how to do it, but since I'm not I'll wish you the best of luck with the online tutorials. Sharon has a lot of great ones on her blog and website! :)
