Quilt Blocks

I'm finally done!!! I made a potholder/hotpad thing out of quilt blocks. I am doing this as part of a 4-H demonstration/interview that I am extremely nervous about. I am going to tie in the different blocks to different leadership qualities. Anyways, it took about four hours to do this. That's right at least FOUR hours! And it's only about 8 inches square. I'm kind of proud of it though! I doubt I'll use it, but then again, I just might. The interview is tomorrow, and I still don't know what I'm going to talk about. Shame on my procrastinating again! :)
P.S. I tried to get the gray part off three times, sorry.

You'll find all kinds of uses for it!

AND, I'm mostly impressed with your finishing / binding. I've made lots of quilt tops but I've never been able to to the binding.

The binding was most definitly the easiest part! I didn't use a seperate(sp?) binding, I just cut the back bigger and folded it over the edge. I also quilted it just a little. Along the pink sashing. I'm wanting to start a big one now.

You did a great job!

Just finishing it is the most important thing! I have so many things I start and never finish.

The quilt that my mom and Mary made for Charlotte is still without a binding- I just never take the time to sit down and do it.

Hey, You may have seen this but I found this lady's blog you might like:

thehandmadedress.blogspot.com
She has some good tutorials on there for crocheting.

She also sells some really cute crochet patterns on Etsy.

I can crochet a little and I would love to try the booties she has, they are super cute.
